Sex and porn addiction are not always independent issues. Actually, most of the time it is not. A large proportion of gender and porn addicts are also involved in cross or colleague addiction. The individual with cross-addiction transitions from one addiction to another. People who are addicted to colleagues deal with multiple addictions at the same time. Often, people with cross-addictedness go from one substance to another, from one behavior to another, and even from substance to behavior and behavior to substance.

Consider whether you may have a cross or a shared addiction. If you think you can share information about this in a therapy or a 12-step meeting.
