Adult star slams man’s viral fitness act, but it’s massive
A woman who claimed a man behaved inappropriately towards her at the gym did not get the support she had hoped for when she shared a video of their interaction online.
Adult content creator Violet Starr uploaded a video of her encounter with the unnamed man on TikTok last week and said that’s why some women feel uncomfortable while exercising reason.
“This is why I no longer go to public gyms,” Starr wrote in white text on her video.
In the 22-second video, which has been viewed more than 100,000 times, she walks into the gym and is quickly approached by an older man.
“Excuse me, what kind of teacher are you?” he asked her.
She replies that she’s not, but he goes on to explain why he thinks she is.
“‘Because you’re so fit, so fit, and you work out so hard, I thought maybe you were a [personal trainer] Or something,” he said with a smile.
“No, I’m not,” she reiterated.
In the video’s caption, she wrote: “That awkward gym moment I wanted to skip…until you walked in.”
Commenters were quick to accuse her of trying to make a fuss over an innocent chat to gain clicks.
“[She goes] Going to the gym in revealing clothing is designed to provoke a reaction in men so they can play the victim,” one person wrote.
“Clothes that expose every nook and cranny of the body are not necessary for comfortable or effective exercise. This suggests that their purpose is to elicit a reaction.”
“These women show off what nature designed to attract male attention and then act surprised when it works. It’s all an act,” another agreed.
“100%,” another person chimed in. “They can wear loose, unattractive baggy clothes without being disturbed.
“It’s a divisive trap. Women wear clothes with plunging necklines and open necklines, and then men complain if they look at it.”
“As a man, any woman who tries to film me at the gym (which is a huge invasion of privacy and something I would never consider doing) would be viewed by me as a predator with ulterior motives,” another user chimed in.
“This is because anyone who truly feels uncomfortable or threatened is going to leave, rather than intentionally interacting with that person for the purpose of posting it on the internet.”
Some commenters did sympathize with her, saying that as women they had faced similar situations that made them uncomfortable.
Before turning off the comments, Starr said she knew this particular clip was tame, but she used it to highlight more direct interactions she’d had in the past at the gym.
It comes after fellow OnlyFans star Madi Ruvee filmed herself doing “pulse squats” at the gym last year, prompting a man to approach her.
She said it proved “women are not safe”.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
She explained she was doing leg warm-ups, but he disagreed, saying, “I know what you’re doing.”
The stranger told Ruvey, a popular porn star who charges fans to watch her explicit content, that she was an example of “girl problems.”
He added that she should keep the behavior “online” and called it “ridiculous.”
He then kicked her phone and smashed it as he walked away.
While the debate continues over whether she was allowed to be filmed at the gym and whether she was intentionally provocative, it’s important to acknowledge that gym harassment is a real issue.
A 2022 survey by Run Repeat revealed that nearly 56% of women have experienced harassment while exercising.
Another study found that up to 69% of women feel unsafe or change their behavior in response to unwanted attention from men during exercise.
A shocking 92% of gym harassment incidents go unreported.
These incidents may include unwanted attention, comments or physical contact.
