Exquisite tomb, inscription found in Heraclea Sintica
Bulgaria-Scheduled rescue excavations for the planned expansion of the Edge gas pipeline have revealed many remains, dating from the 2nd century BC to the 2nd century BC, near the village of Rupite in South Wulgaria, near the southwestern Bulgaria, near the Necropolis in Heracleia necropolis.

Two weeks ago, a wealthy double tomb was unearthed. It contains the remains of a man and a woman and the grave, including a pair of gold hoop earrings, bronze brass, bronze coins, clay boat, clay lamp, bronze oinochoe, copper product pixels, complete glass and cups. Not only is this grave important, because the quality and quantity of goods are also important, but because its date proves that Heracleia Syntica is still very prosperous until the earthquake destroyed 388 years, so the remains of bone carbon will be radiocarbon, dating back to the burial era, and stable isotope analysis will make their geographically cited and healthy depend on isotopes on their planet.
Many of the tombs were plundered by ancient times, and the thieves tried their best to disappoint them. A grave was placed on two huge blocks of stone, pried and broken with levers. There were only a few remains of the ashes and then left in that grave. Other predators are more distinctive, limited to stealing the most valuable tombstones and leaving everything else behind, for example, 15 Terracotta figurines and 8 Balsamamaria were found in a robbery tomb in the 2nd century BC, and the bellious torplate to saplate to torplate to torplate part of the funeral, part of a guesthouse, part of a guesthouse. A grave is protected by a tomb that was later built on its top. The nearest grave uses an older stone roof as the floor. It inadvertently acts as a bait, hiding the tombs at the bottom, copper coins and copper pots at the bottom, from the raiders who plundered the top.
Another noteworthy discovery is the grave of a child with three small clay figurines on his head, clay lamps under his feet and 18 copper coins. The children’s family must be very good at burying these serious commodities and the grave itself and carefully made from bricks.
The excavation also found the first inscription of the cemetery. Greek inscriptions carved on a huge slab with the words: “Hirodor and…” The second name may be the name of his wife or relative, and the stone once stood above the entrance to the tomb. It was later reused as the cover of the tomb, so we don’t know its original location.
The discovery of Heraclea Sintica not only expands our understanding of funeral practices, but also illustrates the rich cultural interactions of Thracian, Hellenistic, Celtic and Rome in the region.
From the personal artistry of marble funeral relief to the untouched ritual tombs of two thousand years, each discovery offers another in this once-explosive ancient city puzzle.
