Texas couple waits until wedding day to kiss

They can’t wait to hear: “Now you can kiss the bride.”

Best friends turned newlyweds didn’t have any regrets until their first kiss on their wedding day earlier this month.

Caitlin and Drew Brown are non-denominational Christians, which means they identify with Christianity, but not necessarily a specific branch of Christianity. So when they started dating in early 2021, they both decided to wait until they were married before doing anything mean together, including kissing.

Caitlin told the Daily Mail: “Personally, we know our favorite love language is physical touch and know we want to be smart about boundaries.”

The 22-year-old told the outlet that she and Drew felt “kissing could be the gateway to physical intimacy,” so they vowed never to sneak a kiss before walking down the aisle together.

The two were never alone at home, so they never thought of hurting each other.

Caitlyn opened up about the couple’s traditional decision on social media, prompting incredulous comments from people online who said she must have a lot of “self-control” and tried to tell her kissing wasn’t “the end of the world.”

“Brother fighting for his life,” someone commented.

“Girl, this is your friend for two years,” another person quipped.

“I don’t understand how you can have a relationship without romance. Like what makes your partner stand out from your friends?” another objector queried.

However, when the Browns finally said “I do” and kissed, family and loved ones erupted in cheers and applause, making it the best day of the couple’s lives.

“Our wedding day was truly magical.”
